[Hyvor Talk] Updates to user-to-user blocking

We’ve added an update that changes how user-to-user blocking works:

  • Previously, blocking was mutual. If user1 blocked user2, neither could see each other’s comments. Now, it’s one-way. If user1 blocks user2, user2’s comments will be hidden to user1. But, user2 won’t notice anything.

  • Users will now see a descriptive message, instead of the earlier generic one. They can also easily unblock the user.

  • The 500 blocks per website per user limit no longer applies. Users can now block an unlimited amount of users.

PS: More updates will be added this week, especially related to notifications from blocked users. We’ll update this post once it’s ready.

And what kind of place did the one who came up with it think? I don’t want the user I blocked to be able to read my comments. Return it as it was.
