[Hyvor Blogs] Upcoming Pricing Changes on 10th of February, 2025

Over the past two months, we have been working on building our own billing system. While we will publish a blog post explaining more about the changes coming with our billing system, in this post, I would like to explain the pricing changes coming to Hyvor Blogs.

These changes are effective from 10th of February, 2025.

TLDR;

  1. Subscriptions are no longer tied to a blog - they are now tied to the account. You can have multiple blogs under your account with just one subscription.
  2. Pricing for each plan is increasing along with the limits of those plans. Current customers will retain the same price and same limits until they manually upgrade or downgrade.
  3. All future charges will be made in EUR. For currency subscriptions that has a different currency, the EUR rate will be calculated on the migration date.
  4. Payment data of the current customers will be migrated securely from Stripe to Paddle.

1. Account-level Subscriptions

Currently, each blog needs a separate active subscription. After this change, customers will only need to maintain one subscription at the account level. Resources will be shared between the blogs of the owner account.

Why? One of the major changes we made with this is to how our products work. The new billing system is centralized. We wanted all our products to work the same way. So, Hyvor Blogs billing is now at the account-level similar to our other products.

2. Pricing & Plans Changes

With this change, subscription plans and limits are also changing.

Plan Current Pricing (per-blog) New Pricing (per-account)
Starter €9/month
2 users, 1GB storage
€12/month
5 users, 5GB storage
Growth €19/month
5 users, 40GB storage
€40/month
15 users, 150GB storage
Premium €49/month
15 users, 250GB storage
€125/month
50 users, 500GB storage

Note that current customers will maintain the same price with the same resources as mentioned below:

How pricing changes affect current customers

If you have only one blog with a subscription, that subscription will be moved to your account without any pricing changes and the same resources. You will be able to share the available resources with other blogs if needed.

If you have multiple blogs with subscriptions, the largest subscription will be selected to be moved to your account. The other subscriptions will be canceled. For example, if you have 2 blogs with €9/month and €19/month plans, the latter will be chosen. You will pay €19/month going forward and you can share the resources of that plan on both your blogs.

3. EUR Currency

Our new billing system only supports EUR. Until last year, we supported multiple currencies via Paddle billing system. If your subscription’s currency is a different one, your subscription price will be calculated based on the exchange rates as of 10th of February 2025. All upcoming charges on your card will be in EUR.

4. Paddle to Stripe

Our old billing system was based on Paddle, who worked as a reseller of our product and handled everything related to billing. Now, we are migrating to Stripe, and we will be invoicing you directly. We are securely migrating payment details and subscriptions over to Stripe. In the transition period, which we hope to complete by the end of February, current subscriptions handled by Paddle cannot be edited nor canceled via the Console - please contact support if you need to do so.

5. Other Changes

  • The finance user role will be removed since subscriptions are now tied to the owner’s account
